Environmental Policy
General Statement
NTL Electrical Services Ltd operates in several interlinked sectors providing: Electrical Design, Installation, Testing and Commissioning Services to the Construction industry and specialist Shows and Exhibitions Industry. We undertake development and refurbishment projects in domestic, commercial and industrial property, and design and build temporary electrical networks for outdoor and indoor events from inception.
It is our aim to minimise the impact our activities, products and services have on the environment around us and to achieve continual improvement in environmental performance by setting annual environmental objectives and targets and monitoring our performance.
Responsibilities
The named NTL Electrical Services Manager in the relevant Project Method Statement, will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Company’s Environmental Policy for there assigned Project. In turn the Board of Directors are responsible for their manager’s compliance and performance respectively.
As an organisation, NTL Electrical Services Ltd will:
- Monitor and review our environmental procedures and auditing compliance to ensure standards are being maintained whilst identifying potential areas for improvement.
- Encourage sub-contractors and suppliers to adopt environmental best practice and environmental policies.
- Reduce the environmental impact of our sites and offices and their effects on local communities by adopting reasonable controls for preventing air and noise pollution.
- Make use of opportunities to minimise waste and to reuse or recycle materials wherever practicable.
- Train employees and promote environmental awareness throughout the Company.
- Reduce the use of natural resources (gas, electricity, water, vehicle fuel, gas oil, oils and paper)
- Keep abreast of, and ensuring compliance with, all applicable legislation, regulations and Codes of Practise which relate to our environmental aspects.
